rapunzel scarf

The length of this scarf just kept making me think about Rapunzel in her tower letting down her hair.
I just kept going and going using almost all of 3 skeins to complete this moss stitch scarf. It is very soft and thick with wonderful texture and very warm. I sewed up a pocket on one end to store a few things if you are just running out to the store, or perhaps a trip to the mailbox (does anyone do that anymore?) or even a great place to store your mittens so you are sure not to lose them.

What a great idea: pockets! I love pockets...and on a scarf? Wow! :)

get ready for fall. that scarf looks huggably soft and like a perfect companion around your neck once the days get chilly. kudos to you for knitting something like that during august's dog days.

By the way... I forgot to write this in before. I still go to the mailbox - I read something somewhere (real specific I know) that a lot of identity theft occurs by people taking your mail rather than getting your information through the trash. So I put it in the mail box down the street instead of posting it above my mail box at home where some of the unsavory people in my neighborhood could easily take it.

Pockets sound like a great idea. I love the color.
