I went to see Bright Star on Friday and loved it.
I think it is the best film I've seen in a long time and the movie stayed with me for quite some time afterwards. When I got home I just wanted to drink tea and stitch and read and ponder. Actually not quite different then most nights:) The leads are very good and the story unfolds in a very slow but perfect way. And, the fashions! Well, I am quite fond of them.
I had forgotten how much I loved Keats and the romantic poets and spent some time reading Keats letters and poetry the past few days.
Lovely film. I highly recommend it.

Hello...I just found your blog...linked from posie and I am hooked...you had me with your flash card banner...then when I read you like knee socks...well that was it! Love you post and am now interested in seeing bright star which I had not heard of...
I'd heard good things about the movie, I like mmost of Jane Campion's films. The 1st still is so beautiful. I haven't seen a good movie in some time.
Oh, I really want to see this! It isn't playing anywhere close by, but I saw it was playing in your town...I thought of asking you to go! I'm sure I'll have to wait for Netflix, anyway! I don't get to the movies much! Probably better that I wait to watch it at home, so I can pause it and swoon periodically.
