I think they'd look great as pillows. For framing, you'd have to block, stretch and mount them on wood frames, then frame them. I find that glass over embroidery doesn't look nice, but no glass causes the work to get dusty. Pillows, or patches for patchwork quilts!
What beautiful needlework! Sashiko is so cool - I love the simple graphic lines that can build a complicated-looking pattern. I think the purl bee has a tutorial on using embroidery hoops for frames - just google 'purl bee swatch portraits'.
if you want to hang them properly i highly recommend going to joann fabrics when you get one of their 60% off custom framing coupons in the mail. they framed a cross stitch toby's aunt made for oona's birth and did a beautiful job plus the woman was really helpful with picking out coordinating frame and matboard for the crossstitch
