confetti dot

A confetti dot dress was sewn up this weekend while taking a break from a quilt I have been working slowly all of July. Polka dots are a big trend right now but, they have always had a special place in my heart. This one in particular reminds me of vanilla ice cream or cake with sprinkles and looks just as sweet on her. It was improvised and the fits is just right....love when that happens!

The fabric is Nani Iro cotton gauze and was given to my by the sweet Jaime. After sewing it up on Saturday Ms. S wanted to wear it the next day when we took a Sunday drive to ride an old steam train that Matty has been dying to ride. We also visited a nice playground that had aflack ducks walking around and had some delicious middle eastern food for lunch.
