sigh, they both look very beautiful. with the magnolia be glad that you look at it but not have to worry about cleaning up all those petals once they fall.

Sorry for the long link. You have to scale down the recipe for a normal size cake but it tells you how. It is the most BEAUTIFUL cake, so soft, so buttery. The only thing I sometimes change is I use cream cheese frosting instead. It goes so well with the meyer lemon curd!
