damask rose

A knitted cowl for Autumn which is now just about a month away. School starts in 10 days! I have a few projects on the needles now for babies and then I think I will make another loop collar. Lots of sewing projects in the works but not many have been completed. I keep starting quilts before finshing them but, I did manage to start and complete a toy. The garden is growing and lush and we have been enjoying lots of blackberries, cucumbers, tomatoes, kale, salad, peppers, eggplant and green beans lately and of course herbs!

This piece was knit with Malabrigo Worsted in the color Damask Rose, the same yarn I used for a baby sweater for her once long ago when she was a wee one. We were both very fond of that sweater. The pattern is called Squishy Love but I did change it up showing the back side and knitting the bottom band opposite the directions. I'd be more specific but, I finished this over a week ago and have forgotten exactly what I did now. I remember liking it this way because the reverse stockinette looks so pretty here. The buttons are glass vintage ones which I tend to use a lot on knits.
