This piece was knit with Malabrigo Worsted in the color Damask Rose, the same yarn I used for a baby sweater for her once long ago when she was a wee one. We were both very fond of that sweater. The pattern is called Squishy Love but I did change it up showing the back side and knitting the bottom band opposite the directions. I'd be more specific but, I finished this over a week ago and have forgotten exactly what I did now. I remember liking it this way because the reverse stockinette looks so pretty here. The buttons are glass vintage ones which I tend to use a lot on knits.

The Markham Loop Collar designed by Tara Lynn of Good, Night Day. Find on Ravelry here
I rarely knit with bulky yarn but sometimes with the right design and the right wool it can be amazing as is the case with this piece which will be fun to wear when the time is right.
Knit in one day with gorgeous handspun bulky merino thick and thin natural wool with bits of pale dyed pieces and a few bits of red thrown in the wool is by the multi-talented Rebekka.
I am going to knit one in black soon!

When I saw this pattern I knew I wanted to make them. I cut out one for myself and one for S. Mine are halfway done but, I've been distracted with several other projects so only my daughters have been finished.
They are really cute and the the cut a really nice shape. She wanted to wear them the day after they were finished.

We took the kids to Pt. Pleasant to go on the rides last week. It was raining a bit but, no one minded. S is tall enough to go on bigger kids rides now and she could not be happier about it.
I also sewed this plaid tank top last week from a Wiksten pattern. This makes four tops and one dress from this pattern. It's a good one.
Are you enjoying these August days or wishing for September?. I must admit I've not been a fan of August for many years but, I am trying to enjoy the pace. This top is like both rolled into one as plaid has that autumnal, back to school feeling about it yet tanks are so summer.
